This blog is my summary and thoughts on Doug Lemov's "Teach Like a Champion: 49 Techniques that Put Students on the Path to College." Although I am not a K-12 teacher, I am finding this book to be very interesting and applicable to teaching at the college level. (I am a Computer Science and Information Systems professor at Calvin College.)

Technique 31: Binder Control
(Part of chapter 5: Creating a Strong Classroom Culture)
This is a technique about getting students to organize their notes, assignments, etc. This is not a college-level problem, in general.
I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Calvin College. I want to be a top-notch teacher. It is going to take a few years, I expect, to get there.
